If you’ve heard anything about this sun-kissed place, you’ve probably heard that one of the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas involves a drink (or two). Part of Los Cabos and right on the southernmost tip of the Baja California peninsula, this resort city has a bit of a party-goer reputation. And while there are must-visit bars lining the downtown streets, Cabo has so much more to explore day and night. This Baja stretch is widely known for amazing fish tacos, iconic scenery, and adventures on land and water. Whether hiking Mount Solmar or snorkeling El Arco, you’re sure to work up an appetite. Refuel with grilled seafood and local roasted coffee, then embark on a scenic stroll to take in local art and architecture.

What is it? A natural archway that has become a picture-perfect symbol of Cabo San Lucas – take a boat tour to see it from the water.

Why go? The rock formation is beautiful and you can usually spot sea lions at the base of it. The beaches nearby are called Lovers’ Beach and Divorce Beach: funny names, but the surrounding waters make for great snorkeling or glass bottom boat tours.

What is it? Your chance to meet the biggest fish in the world up close in one of the only places where a sighting is nearly 100 percent guaranteed.

Why go? From September to May, Dive Cabo offers whale shark swimming experiences that are out of this world. After two to three hours in the ocean, swimmers get a meal of fish tacos. Call to book your snorkel tour for the most up-to-date schedule and pricing.

Why go? This restaurant has been serving delicious Mexican staples since the 1970s, before tourism even started booming in Los Cabos. Visit the restaurant on Medano Beach for Baja-style shrimp, burritos, Mexican steaks, and gorgeous views complete with live entertainment in the evenings.

Why go? Cabo Wabo is a Cabo San Lucas staple with live music almost every night. Hosting musicians from around the world, it's one of the largest places for nightlife in town and, if nothing else, you should go for the people watching (it's not unusual to spot someone dancing on a table). They also have a full menu and lots-o-tequila.

Why go? Cabo Coffee roasts organic beans daily, exclusively serving coffee grown in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Oaxaca. In addition to smooth roasts, the café offers dairy alternatives and gluten free treats.
