[title]
Nestled in an eighteenth century Georgian townhouse along St. Stephen’s Green, the Little Museum displays over 5,000 artefacts donated by Dubliners since 2011. Temporary exhibits on the first floor are free for wandering while the permanent collection on the second and third floors are accessed via guided tour, which start on the hour every hour. From a first edition copy of Ulysses to a life-size Bono sculpture, the organized chaos tells a vivid and authentic story of the city’s social, cultural and political history from 1901 to 2000. Guides are as quirky and entertaining as the memorabilia, asking questions and cracking jokes along the tour.
Time Out tip: All museum visitors get a 10 percent discount off the breakfasts, blaas, and cheese and fish boards at the basement café, Hatch & Sons. Get even more bang for your buck with the historic Green Mile walking tour, which includes museum entry.
