Formerly a cabaret, the Maxime, in Praça da Alegria, was reborn as a restaurant, and a hotel, in 2018. Since then, you can enter the world of burlesque and step into the years of the Second World War, when Lisbon was a nest of spies and dancers that traded information and lived mysterious and dangerous lives. In this mystic environment, Maxime also offers a vibrant events calendar, with burlesque and circus shows, along with special dinners, stand-up comedy, live music or theatre. For a themed dinner or just an evening cocktail, the Maxime Restaurante welcomes everyone. Designed to share, the menu is “inspired by Portuguese classics, but fused with several cuisines from around the world”. To drink, there’s a long list of cocktails that includes classics like Negroni (€10) or Aperol Spritz (€10) and signature cocktails such as the Port’ Caribe (€12), with Bacardi 8, Saint Germain, cider, lime juice and fresh mint or the Snowberry (€12), with Remy Martin, Port Wine, raspberry, lime juice and egg white. You can also taste these tempting elixirs while enjoying the warm Lisbon weather in the Boudoir Garden-Bar, the outdoor patio. To benefit from this frenetic atmosphere, while tasting the traditional Portuguese flavours, you can book a table here. The Maxime Restaurante is also available for groups and private events.

Dinner doesn't have to be boring. This suggestion combines dinner with à La Carte Menu with a surprise act (we’re not telling anything so as not to spoil the surprise). All this in a sexy and stylish environment full of tasteful moments. In some special occasions, Maxime Restaurante also welcomes guest artists such as Vicky Butterfly, an international burlesque performer.

Besides the à La Carte Dinner & Act, the Maxime Restaurant also hosts a dinner-show with “the imaginary of the variety shows, accompanied by flavors that are revealed to spark curiosity”. Here, guests will get to taste Portuguese dishes while enjoying a burlesque show with a lot of music, theatrical performances, and flavors. The dinner-show with a dedicated set-menu costs €50/per person, and drinks are included.

And you still can take it to another level and have the whole Maxime experience by stepping into the upper floors and sleeping in one of the themed rooms - the dressing room, the stage, the bondage, the bar or the burlesque - surrounded by provocative and sensual elements.
