In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, which offer free admission every day, Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket… for free.
Though it was once teeming with institutions, the 2022 lineup is looking a little bit thinner: The only L.A.-area museums participating are the GRAMMY Museum, Los Angeles Maritime Museum and the International Printing Museum, plus the always-free California African American Museum.
