The overnight art party that is White Night is heading back to Victoria in September and October, as White Night Geelong and White Night Bendigo make their return in 2022.
Colourful projections by The Electric Canvas, from First Nations artists Kait James, Billy-Jay O’Toole and Jenna Oldaker, will transform Johnstone Park into a glittering nighttime hub. The festival also features a host of installations, musical performances and interactive works that you can get amongst in the wee hours of the morning, including 'Under the Neon Sea' – a magical marine experience with neon sharks, dolphins, crabs and octopi on the Geelong Foreshore.
The visual spectacular and cultural event debuted in this bayside town back in 2018 with over 70,000 attendees passing through the festival. The 2022 iteration comes to Geelong on Saturday, October 8. Geelong was the third regional Victorian town to host White Night after Ballarat and Bendigo – with White Night also announcing a new Bendigo date for 2022.
Melbourne’s version of White Night has since merged with Melbourne Festival to create a new winter festival called Rising.
